Welding Engineer

  • Overview:

A Welding Engineer specializes in the design, development, and supervision of welding processes to ensure structural integrity, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize welding procedures for projects.
  • Select appropriate welding techniques and materials for specific applications.
  • Conduct quality checks on welding work and ensure compliance with codes (ASME, API, AWS).
  • Perform inspections and oversee testing, including NDT methods.
  • Troubleshoot welding defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance to welding teams and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Qualifications:
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering.
  • Experience in handling various ASME / EN Codes
  • Expertise in welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW).
  • Knowledge of NDT techniques and welding standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience:
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in oil & gas sectors.
  • Experience in handling shutdown projects would be an added advantage.
